As Tropical Cyclone Alfred approaches, powerlines have come down in some areas and more damage to the network is expected.

Redland City Council urges residents to follow the advice from Energex on what to do during a cyclone.

  • Treat ANY fallen powerline or network damage as dangerous
  • Report it ASAP to 000 (Triple Zero)
  • Stay well clear
  • Warn others to stay away too

Currently 6304 customers on Redlands Coast are affected by power outages due to TC Alfred. Properties affected are on the Southern Moreton Bay Islands, in Redland Bay and Coochiemudlo Island.
