Young people across Redlands Coast are being invited to come together on Thursday 3 September 2026 for a day of inspiration and innovation.
The Young Entrepreneur Summit (YES) is a dynamic, one-day interactive experience designed to inspire and empower the next generation of bold, creative and entrepreneurial leaders.
Redland City Acting Mayor Julie Talty said the summit, to be held at Redland Performing Arts Centre, Cleveland, was proudly supported by Redland City Council in partnership with the Australian School of Entrepreneurship and Advance Queensland/Queensland Government.
“The YES Redlands summit is run by young people, for young people, and is designed for students in Years 7 to 12,” Cr Talty said.
“Attendees can expect to participate in a variety of engaging activities such as panel discussions and interactive group workshops focused on essential life skills.
“Public speaking, entrepreneurship, networking, financial literacy, ideation, collaboration and teamwork, are some the skills that will be discussed.
“Council’s partnership in this event supports the city’s Economic Development Strategy and Council’s commitment to strengthening youth pathways into employment, entrepreneurship and training.”
The summit will include keynote presentations, including from entrepreneur Steve Baxter, who was a panel member on the television program Shark Tank.
It will also feature local students who have gone on to start up and run their own business on Redlands Coast.
Fully funded tickets to the 3 September forum are available to Redlands Coast schools, capped at 25 students per school.
