Four students from schools in the Redlands were among 16 students recognised with excellence, commendation and encouragement awards in the Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Arts announced on Sunday 11 September at the Redland Art Gallery.

Acting Redland City Mayor Wendy Boglary said the awards recognised the exceptional talent and creativity of students in the South East region.

“Congratulations to Olivia Simpson from Redlands College who received an excellence award for her work titled Superiority complex, an intriguing piece featuring two taxidermy animals enhanced by flowers and gold in glass displays,” she said.
