With the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting possible heavy rainfall for south‑east Queensland in the coming days, Redland City Council reminds residents that sandbagging stations are available if required.
The following mainland stations are open year-round to help residents prepare:
- Thorneside, William Taylor Memorial Sportsfield, 14–18 Ivy Street. Open 24/7.
- Cleveland, Clarke Street, opposite cemetery entrance gate. Open 24/7.
- Redland Bay, Bayview Conservation Park Staging Area, 487-503 German Church Road. Open from 6.30am to 6pm daily.
Residents can collect up to 10 bags per vehicle, per trip. This is to ensure there is enough supply for everyone.

The following 24-hour self-service sandbagging stations are open on the islands (sand and bags are supplied. Please bring your own shovel):
