Essential Redland City Council services and some organisational services will continue operating over upcoming public holidays:
- Easter long weekend, from Good Friday 18 April to Easter Monday 21 April,
- Anzac Day on Friday 25 April, and
- Labour Day on Monday 5 May.
Bins will continue to be collected, recycling and waste centres will be open most days, and the animal shelter and visitor information centre will both be open with varied hours.
The following is a list of services that will close or have different operating hours on the public holidays.

Council offices and customer service centres
Redland City Council offices and customer service centres will be closed over the Easter long weekend and on both Anzac Day and Labour Day.

Libraries
All Council libraries will be closed over the Easter long weekend and on both Anzac Day and Labour Day. During these times, all library return chutes will be closed and no library items will be due
Access to eBooks, eMagazines, eAudiobooks, digital newspapers and streaming music, movies and TV shows will be available via the Council libraries’ Digital Library.
The 24/7 Library Lockers outside Cleveland Library will be available to collect reserved items
Redlands IndigiScapes Centre
Redlands IndigiScapes Centre, IndigiCafe, the Native Nursery and Botanic Gardens will all be closed over the Easter long weekend, and on both Anzac Day and Labour Day.
Walking tracks will remain open.
Bin collections
All bin collections will continue as usual on each of the public holidays (please put bins out by 6am).
Please note there will be no bin deliveries or exchanges on public holidays. Report any missed services on 3829 8999.
Recycling and Waste Centres
All mainland and island Recycling and Waste Centres will be closed on Good Friday.
Residents should check the website for all other opening times.
RecycleWorld Redland Bay
RecycleWorld Redland Bay is only open on Tuesday and Friday (10am-2pm), but will be closed on Good Friday and Anzac Day.
Redland Animal Shelter
The Redland Animal Shelter will be open every day over the Easter long weekend, and on the other public holidays, from 9am to 12pm each day.
The shelter can be contacted on 3829 8663 during opening hours and on 3829 8999 after hours.
Redland Performing Arts Centre
Redland Performing Arts Centre box office, currently operating from the Cleveland Administration Building, will be closed on each of the public holidays.

Redland Art Gallery
Redland Art Gallery, Cleveland will be closed over the Easter long weekend and on the other public holidays.
Redlands Coast Visitor Information Centre
The centre at 50 Middle Street, Cleveland will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, but will be open from 9am to 4pm on Saturday 19 April and Easter Monday.
The centre will be closed on Anzac Day, but will open on Labour Day.
