Queensland Fire and Emergency Services has advised that fire crews are finalising operations at the grass fire on North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah), and will monitor the area overnight.
Smoke is expected to remain visible throughout the night.
People who suffer from a respiratory condition are encouraged to close windows and doors, and keep medications close by; and motorists should drive to the conditions.

A vegetation fire has broken out just north of Dunwich on North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah) this morning about 10am.
There is no immediate threat to life or property.
Fire crews from Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation, Rural Fire Service and Redland City Council are onsite.
Aerial support will also be provided.
