A hands-on workshop for Redlands Coast manufacturing companies will be held at My Horizons, Capalaba, on 18 and 19 June.
With in-kind support from Redland City Council, the Lean Manufacturing Simulation Workshop is being delivered by leading specialists engaged through the Queensland Government initiative Manufacturing Queensland.
Redland City Acting Mayor Julie Talty encouraged local manufacturers to sign-up for the event.
Bookings for the two-day workshop are available via Council’s Business Workshops webpage.
“The workshop includes high-impact content that will support Redlands Coast manufacturers to scale, stabilise, streamline or improve their competitive edge,” Cr Talty said.
Council’s Redlands Coast Industry Snapshot for March 2026 reports that manufacturing employs just seven per cent of Redland Coast’s workforce, yet ranks second in output, and leads in exports.
“With industrial manufacturing’s gross regional production per employee exceeding that of health and education, manufacturing delivers high productivity and value. Advanced manufacturing drives local value-add and exports, cementing its strategic role in the city’s future economy,” the March Redlands Coast Industry Snapshot says.
More industry and economic snapshots are published on Council’s website.
