Redland City Council has adopted its new corporate plan: Our Future Redland City – Corporate Plan 2026–2031.

The plan will commence on 1 July 2026 and will help guide the development of Council’s annual operational plan, annual budget, decision-making, and regular reporting to the community over the next five years.

Deputy Mayor Julie Talty said Our Future Redland City – Corporate Plan 2026–2031 would ensure Council’s priorities were delivered in a coordinated and accountable way.

“Our new corporate plan will help Council guide Redland as a thriving city with a naturally wonderful lifestyle, connected communities, and an openness to new opportunities,” Cr Talty said.

“It sets a direction that will help Council deliver high-quality services while planning responsibly for the future.”

Key focus areas of the new corporate plan include:

  • Effective and Efficient Council – providing reliable services, responsible financial management, and organisational excellence.
  • Strong Community – supporting inclusion, wellbeing, cultural respect, and civic pride.
  • Sustainable Environment – protecting our unique natural assets and addressing the challenges of climate change.
  • Liveable Neighbourhoods – creating connected, accessible, and safe places to live, work, and play.
  • Prosperous Economy – supporting local business, enabling innovation, and creating opportunities for growth while retaining the Redlands Coast lifestyle.

Cr Talty said the corporate plan was shaped through extensive community consultation, including workshops, focus groups, surveys, and online engagement.

“The feedback was invaluable in helping to shape a plan that reflects our community’s aspirations while ensuring strong governance and accountability,” she said.

“This is a plan for the whole community and sets a clear roadmap for how Council will move forward with confidence, collaboration, and a commitment to our Redlands Coast lifestyle for today and the future.”
