From wildlife shows and comedy performances to making puppets and stop-motion movies, there is something to keep children of all ages entertained at Redland City Council venues during the September school holidays.

Mayor Jos Mitchell said a wide range of events were planned for the two-week holiday period from 20 September to 6 October 2025.

“Council teams have once again organised an exciting program of activities for the school holidays,” the Mayor said.

“Most of the events are free but bookings are essential for some activities so I encourage families to book early to avoid disappointment.”

The Mayor said the organised events were in addition to activities on offer year-round at Council venues.

“Our libraries are great places to not only borrow books but also movies, video games, music and magazines,” she said.

“Children over 12 years are also allowed to use the resources in the Makerspace area at Cleveland Library.

“At IndigiScapes, the Discovery Centre is sure to spark children’s curiosity about the natural world, with interactive environmental education areas, microscopes and a lookout window.

“For outdoor adventurers, the IndigiScapes playground includes a flying fox, wooden balance beam obstacle course, water pumping station and sand pit, an education trail and a hedge maze.

“This is also a great time of year to be outdoors on Redlands Coast, exploring the parks and playgrounds, and conservation and foreshore areas.”

School holiday activities will be held at Redland Art Gallery, Redland City Libraries, Redland Performing Arts Centre and Redlands IndigiScapes Centre.
