Community Recovery Hubs have been set up at Thornlands and on Russell Island to support Redlands Coast residents during the recovery phase of ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
The pop-up hubs, operated by the Queensland Government in partnership with Redland City Council, provide a one-stop shop for residents who need assistance with access to grants and support from a range of Government agencies, as well as practical and emotional assistance.
Staff are also available at these hubs to assist residents with applying for grants if they are unable to apply online or over the phone.

- Russell Island Recreation Hall, 1 Alison Crescent, Russell Island (open 9am to 3pm daily, closing Sunday 16 March)
- Thornlands Dance Palais Hall, Corner Cleveland-Redland Bay Road and Island Outlook Avenue, Thornlands (open 9am to 4pm daily, closing Sunday 16 March)

Personal hardship assistance grants are available for residents through the jointly funded Queensland and Australian Government Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
Available grants include Emergency Hardship Assistance, Essential Services Hardship Assistance, Essential Household Contents Grant, Essential Services Safety and Reconnection Scheme, and Structural Assistance Grant. For information and eligibility criteria, visit www.qld.gov.au/DisasterHelp.
