Mainland waste centres move to mid-year operating hours

The mainland Recycling and Waste Centres at Birkdale and Redland Bay will change to mid-year operating hours from Thursday 1 June 2023.

Mid-year operating hours are from 7am to 5pm each day.

Vehicles must arrive on site before 4.45pm to allow for end of day procedures to be undertaken.

Residents are encouraged to make their trip quicker and easier by arranging the recycling and waste in their vehicle according to waste types.

RecycleWorld, a trash and treasure facility located at the Redland Bay centre, is open on Tuesday and Friday from 10am to 2pm.

Redland City Council also has Recycling and Waste Centres on Coochiemudlo, Karragarra, Lamb, Macleay, North Stradbroke/Minjerribah and Russell Islands. Opening hours remain unchanged for island facilities.
