Internationally acclaimed soprano Mirusia and swing/jazz sensation Craig Martin will headline the home-grown talent at Redlands Coast’s five-day community Christmas celebration, Christmas on the Coast, from 15-19 December 2021 at Cleveland’s Raby Bay Harbour Park.

Along with Christmas carols and lighting of the city’s Christmas tree, the event will also feature a special children’s pantomime show each afternoon presented by local musical theatre training group ROCKIT Productions.

Mayor Karen Williams said she was thrilled that some of Redlands Coast’s best musical talent would be home for the big event.

“Christmas on the Coast is all the more special because it is a showcase of the incredible talent that we have in Redlands Coast,” Cr Williams said.

“Mirusia and Craig are enormously talented and popular entertainers and we are so fortunate that they’ll be home for Christmas to sing for us.

“Mirusia will be performing from Wednesday to Saturday, with Craig on each night and Craig’s swing band from Thursday to Sunday.”

Internationally acclaimed soprano and Redlands Coast local Mirusia will headline this year’s Christmas on the Coast at Raby Bay Harbour Park, Cleveland.

The family friendly event will also include an array of free Christmas activities and children’s rides, including:

  • Photographs with Santa
  • Toboggan slide
  • Flying carousel
  • Inflatable jumping castles
  • Animal petting zoo.
  • Roving performers
  • Christmas movie in the park (program available on the website)
  • Food trucks and market stalls.

Christmas on the Coast is a ticketed event with a maximum of 2000 people each day. Bookings are essential. Council will follow Queensland Health directions in relation to the vaccination requirements for events.

Tickets, which are $5 per person with 12 years and under free, will also entitle the holder to free train travel to the event.

“Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards helping local causes such as domestic and family violence support services, which desperately need assistance,” Cr Williams said.

Keep an eye on Council’s website redland.qld.gov.au/Christmas for the latest details of how to be part of the big celebration.
