North Stradbroke Island bushfire update: 4.30pm Tuesday 3 December

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) have issued the following update on the bushfire burning on North Stradbroke Island.

Twenty-six Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are currently attending to a bushfire burning about 2km south of Yarraman Mine on North Stradbroke Island.

The fire is burning within containment lines and poses no threat to property.

The fire is producing a significant amount of smoke and residents in the Amity Point area are advised to close windows and doors and, if suffering from respiratory conditions, keep medications close by.
