Local not-for-profit organisations and community groups can get ‘grant ready’ at workshops being hosted by Redland City Council in Cleveland and Capalaba.

The free sessions provide helpful tips on what it takes to develop a competitive application for Council’s range of grant and sponsorship programs.

Redland City Mayor Jos Mitchell said anyone thinking of applying for funding support through these channels should consider booking their place at one of the workshops.

“This is a great opportunity for local groups, community-led organisations and even first-time grant writers to hone their skills and improve the quality of their applications,” the Mayor said.

“The sessions are specific to Council’s grant programs and will offer helpful tips on understanding eligibility requirements and how to align a project or event with the correct funding stream.

“As our Council team will explain, a well-researched, evidence-based and thorough application can help you stand out from the other applicants and increase your chances of securing funding.

“These workshops are held in a friendly and supportive environment and the team encourages attendees to come ready to ask questions and share their ideas.

“With a number of grant programs set to open soon, including the popular and always competitive Community Grants program, this is a very timely opportunity.”

For more details on the sessions and to secure your place, visit the Council Grant Workshops and Assistance page or go direct to the booking website Eventbrite and search ‘Redland City Council grants’.

Information on other Council grant assistance programs is also available on the Council website.
