More than $481,000 has been allocated to support 42 community projects and events on Redlands Coast in the past six months under Redland City Council’s grants program.

Acting Mayor Julie Talty said a rolling series of six grants had been offered since January 2026.

“Council’s grants program aims to help the community deliver events that enhance the vibrancy of our region and provide services to support the wellbeing of people of all ages and abilities,” Cr Talty said.

“It also aligns with Council’s strategic direction outlined in the Corporate Plan and its focus on building strong communities, in this case through the delivery of initiatives and events that generate a sense of community connection, pride and inclusion.”

Cr Talty said available funding across the various grants ranged from $500 for rapid response grants to help with an urgent community need and up to $60,000 for large scale, multi-year signature events.

“All projects and events that have received funding help to enhance both the diversity and quality of community facilities, services, programs and community-based events across Redlands Coast,” she said.

Details of successful grant applications is available on Council’s website.
