Redlands Coast community organisations wanting to build, renovate or refurbish community facilities can now apply for funding through Redland City Council’s grants program.

Mayor Jos Mitchell said Capital Infrastructure Grants were available to help organisations undertake projects that benefitted their members and the wider community.

“Council’s grants program not only aims to improve community infrastructure but also promotes collaboration and local partnerships and boosts the local economy through new employment opportunities,” the Mayor said.

“It is also about helping organisations increase social connections and mental wellbeing and improving access to services for people experiencing disadvantage or vulnerability.

“Projects can include roof restorations and upgrades to community kitchens or hard-wired technology.”

The Mayor said nine organisations shared almost $191,000 in Capital Infrastructure Grants last financial year.

“This included support for the construction of a new all-weather deck, a kitchen fit out, a replacement storage shed, building renovations and the installation of a media tower at a football field,” she said.

“Council is now calling for applications from community organisations that might need a helping hand to undertake vital infrastructure projects.”

Grants are available in two categories:

  • Small capital infrastructure: Up to $10,000
  • Major capital infrastructure: $10,001 up to $50,000 (50 per cent cash contribution required).

Applications close on 14 September 2025.

More information, including eligibility criteria and how to apply, is available on Council’s Grants and sponsorship webpage.
