Russell and Macleay islands COVID-19 testing clinics update

The Macleay Island COVID-19 testing clinic will remain open on Tuesday 8 September.

The clinic is located at the Macleay Island Community Centre on the corner of Scarborough Terrace and High Central Road.

Operating hours are 10am to 4pm daily.

The testing clinic at Russell Island Recreation Hall will continue until at least Wednesday 9 September.

This clinic’s operating hours are 8am to 4pm daily.

Anyone who develops symptoms of COVID-19 should be tested and isolate at home until they receive their test results.

COVID-19 symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, loss of taste or smell, tiredness and muscle aches, vomiting and/or diarrhoea, shortness of breath.

Karragarra Island or Lamb Island residents who develop symptoms are encouraged to contact their doctor for a telehealth consultation.
