Fifty entries – including four Redland-based artists and two Quandamooka artists currently residing outside the City – have been shortlisted for the Redland Art Awards, an acquisitive biennial painting competition presented by Redland Art Gallery.

With more than 400 entries received this year from across Australia, the judges had a tough time shortlisting the works. Winners will be announced on 14 October and an exhibition of the finalists on show from Sunday 16 October to Sunday 27 November 2016.

Offering more than $20,000 in prize money, the long-running competition features four awards this year, including a people’s choice award to be announced on 17 November.
