On Monday 24 November, Council endorsed its proposed draft City Plan to progress to State interest review. This marks a significant phase of the process with State Government approval the final step before the proposed City Plan 2015 can be released for community consultation.
Council is committed to community engagement activities for the proposed City Plan 2015 . It is expected the formal public consultation and submission period will begin early in 2015, once the Minister has approved the release of the planning scheme for public review.
The proposed City Plan is a State Government requirement and will help guide the future of the city by ensuring future population growth can be accommodated through a balance of housing types, green space and community infrastructure.
