The Redlands is an events hotspot this month despite the chilly temperatures, with markets, motorcycles and music among the highlights.
Enjoy an afternoon of High Street markets, delicious gourmet foods and some of the best food trucks around at Winter Wonderland. With arts and craft stalls, kids’ activities (plaster painting, sand art and face painting), live entertainment and street performers, snow play inside giant snow globes and a spectacular fireworks display at 7pm to finish it all off! Sunday 10 July, 3-7pm. Victoria Point Lakeside Shopping Centre, 11 Bunker Road, Victoria Point
Admire some of Brisbane’s best motorcycles (or enter your own in one of 15 categories to win!) at Club Laverda Concours. Visit trade stalls and enjoy live entertainment, food and kids rides. Proceeds go to Make a Wish Foundation. Sunday 17 July, 10am-3pm. Cleveland Showgrounds, Long St, Cleveland.
Escape the everyday mundane and enjoy the sounds of music during six concerts set among one of the world’s most naturally magnificent locations at the Stradbroke Chamber Music Festival. Featuring outstanding performers, inspiring music, intimate venues and innovative programming. 22-24 July. North Stradbroke Island.
July also marks the start of the second annual Quandamooka Festival, a three-month calendar of events celebrating the country, culture and people of Quandamooka. With the start of the festival coinciding with National NAIDOC Week, there are a host of events celebrating the cultural heritage of our city this week. Join Songlines in Redlands: A NAIDOC Showcase on Sunday 10 July or Welcome the Whales on Saturday 23 July.
