City Plan consultation closes 27 November

There’s still a few more weeks for residents to get involved and have their say about City Plan 2015. Already thousands of people have been consulted on the draft plan, and there is still one more pop-up event happening at the Capalaba College Markets on 15 November from 10am-12 noon.

City Plan, once finalised and adopted, will become the planning scheme we will use to shape future land development decisions and accommodate the growth that will occur in a balanced, well designed way.

yoursay.redland.qld.gov.au/city-plan-2015 is a one-stop point for all the information on City Plan and how to make a submission.  City Plan information can also be found at Redland Libraries and customer Services Centres.

Make your City Plan say count

Under the Sustainable Planning Act 2009, for a submission on City Plan to be considered it must be ‘properly made’, which means the submission must:

  • be in writing and, unless the submission is lodged electronically, be signed by each person who made the submission;
  • be made to the Redland City Council within the consultation period closing at 4.30pm, 27 November;
  • state the name and residential address of each person who made the submission; and
  • state the grounds of the submission and the facts and circumstances relied on in support of the grounds

If you have any questions before making your submission, you can email [email protected], or call Council on 07 3829 8999 to talk to a Customer Service Consultant or book a one-on-one discussion with a planner.
