The Bureau of Meteorology has advised that the torrential rainfall over the Redlands will dissipate by early afternoon.
The heaviest falls have been experienced on North Stradbroke and the Southern Moreton Bay islands as ex-Tropical Cyclone Marcia moved over the bay.

Local creeks and waterways are swollen and will continue to be potentially dangerous. Localised flooding is expected to continue for the next few hours.
Residents are reminded that tidal surges have the potential to impact coastal and low-lying areas.
Council and SES crews are on the ground assessing at risk areas and will door-knock if required.
The Redland Local Disaster Co-ordination Centre will remain operating until 6pm this evening and will then continue to monitor the situation.

Sandbags
If required, sandbags are still available at the Redland Showground (Norm Price Park), Long Street, Cleveland.
Only residents with mobility issues should call SES on 132 500 for assistance.

All ferry services are currently running. Passengers should with operators for updates.
