Nominations are now open for the 2027 Redlands Coast Australia Day Awards, providing an opportunity to celebrate the people and organisations that make outstanding contributions to the community.
Redland City Acting Mayor Julie Talty said the annual awards recognised individuals and groups who go above and beyond to strengthen community connections and help make Redlands Coast a great place to live.
“Across our community there are countless people quietly making a positive difference every day,” Cr Talty said.

“They may be demonstrating leadership and innovation, and serving as a positive role model for others.
“They may also be excelling or making an outstanding contribution within their chosen field, leading community initiatives or making a real impact on the cultural, environmental or economic life of the city.
“The Redlands Coast Australia Day Awards are an opportunity to shine a light on these local achievers and the impact they make in the community.
“Every nomination tells a story of generosity, commitment and community pride.
“Taking a few minutes to nominate someone is a meaningful way to thank them for everything they do.”
The five award categories in the 2027 Redlands Coast Australia Day Awards are:
- Citizen of the Year
- Senior Citizen of the Year (65 years and over)
- Young Citizen of the Year (26 years and under)
- Organisation of the Year
- Community Spirit Award (individual or organisation).
Nominations close at 11.59pm on Sunday 1 November 2026.
Award recipients will be announced at a special ceremony in January 2027.
