The Brisbane Ekka public holiday on Redlands Coast will be held on Monday 10 August 2026 and there will be some changes to availability of Council services on this day.
However, kerbside bins will be collected and recycling and waste centres, the animal shelter and visitor information centre will all be open.

The following will be open or available on Monday 10 August:
- All mainland and island Recycling and Waste Centres – visit Council’s website for hours
- Redland Animal Shelter at 264 South Street, Thornlands from 9am to 12pm – phone 3829 8663 during opening hours and 3829 8999 after hours
- Redlands Coast Visitor Information Centre at 50 Middle Street, Cleveland from 9am to 4pm – phone 1300 667 386
- Council’s online services will be available at redland.qld.gov.au to report non-urgent matters, pay bills, update animal details, view rates notices or conduct property searches
- The full digital library of eBooks, eMagazines eAudiobooks, digital newspapers and streaming of music, movies and TV shows will be available via the Council Libraries website
- The library lockers outside Cleveland Library will be available to collect reserved items
The following will be closed on Monday 10 August:
- Redland City Council offices and customer service centres
- Redland City Council Libraries
- Redlands IndigiScapes Centre, IndigiCafe, the Native Nursery and Botanic Gardens
- Redland Art Gallery
