The inaugural Redlands Coast Economic Development Forum has brought together the people and organisations actively shaping the city’s economic future to discuss a collaborative approach.
Redland City Council hosted the event at Redland RSL, Cleveland, with sponsorship assistance from Regional Development Australia (Redlands and Logan).
Mayor Jos Mitchell, who addressed the forum, said the key theme was ‘partnering for progress’ and the event had been designed to spark conversation, develop new partnerships and consolidate existing relationships.
“Collaboration, sharing knowledge, and supporting each other, are actions that will support the development of a thriving, connected, and future-ready Redlands Coast economy,” the Mayor said.
“It is all about pulling in the same direction and recognising and actioning the collective impact that industry can have when aligned and collaborative.”
Presentations during the forum also focused on the opportunities ahead for the region, including catalyst projects and investment.
