The Queensland Government’s Redland Housing Strategy 2024–2046 has been released by the Queensland Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works.

Mayor Jos Mitchell said Redland City Council acknowledges the release of the document.

“I would like to thank the Department for the work done in developing the strategy,” she said.

“Council will consider the document, which lists 18 implementation actions, at the November General Meeting.

“I have been advised that the former Council provided the Queensland Government with extensive feedback on its draft strategy, and it appears that several of the matters raised in the submission to the Department were addressed in this final version.

“Council will now analyse the strategy, its potential impacts for the city, and will continue working with the Queensland Government on the best ways to deliver the implementation actions.”

The Redland Housing Strategy 2024–2046 is available on the Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works website.

The consultation reports from both phases of the Department’s community consultation are also available.
