Redland City Council’s Christmas celebrations on Redlands Coast for 2024 are set to give residents a range of exciting Christmas activities to enjoy.

The city-wide festival will celebrate a four-week Christmas program rather than a single event.

A Council spokesperson said the program, which is in development, would look to include events at Council venues such as Redland Performing Arts Centre, IndigiScapes and Libraries.

It will also feature Christmas activations in the north, south, central and island areas of the city.

The program will be launched at a free community event that will include community favourites such as the annual lighting of the Christmas tree, carols, face painting, roving performers and more.

Council will also collaborate with businesses and community groups to help expand the festival’s footprint far and wide.

The spokesperson said the full schedule of events would be released later this year.

“The launch event will be held at Raby Bay Harbour Park, Cleveland in late November,” the spokesperson said.

“The Christmas program has been reimagined to ensure we are showcasing more of our city and bringing activities to residents right across Redlands Coast, including our island communities.

“The program will be designed over coming weeks and months, and Council will keep the community informed.”

Redland City Council provides a suite of services to 166,873 residents and more than 63,000 residential households across Redlands Coast. Our naturally wonderful city on Quandamooka Country is home to more than 335 kilometres of coastline, six island communities and 12 mainland suburbs.
