Mayor will not contest in 2024 elections

Redland City Mayor Karen Williams

Redland City Mayor Karen Williams has announced she will not be contesting in the 2024 local government election on 16 March.

She will continue to serve as Mayor until the new council is sworn in.

Cr Williams has served on Redland City Council for 20 years, including 8 years as a Councillor for Division 9, before becoming Mayor in April 2012.
