A Christmas tradition on Redlands Coast will return to its original format and location this year.

Christmas by Starlight will be held on Saturday 16 December 2023, from 3pm to 8.30pm, at Norm Price Park – Redland Showgrounds, Cleveland.

Redland City Mayor Karen Williams said that for the past three years, the event was subject to restrictions brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Since 2020, it has been a ticketed event held over five days at Raby Bay Harbour Park so that numbers could comply with health safety requirements,” Cr Williams said.

“This year, I’m delighted to announce, it will return to its original popular location at the showgrounds and will be free to all with no tickets required.

“The event, which in pre-COVID years has attracted more than 10,000 people, will feature live entertainment, rides, Christmas merchandise stalls, food trucks, a visit from Santa Claus and, of course, some wonderful Christmas carolling.”

Cr Williams said Council was currently calling for expressions for interest from Redlands Coast performing artists and market stallholders who want to be part of the event.
