Coochiemudlo Island controlled burns: Thursday 7 August

Redland City Council and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services- Auxiliary Fire Brigade will be conducting a hazard reduction burn on Coochiemudlo Island tomorrow Thursday 7 August 2014.

The planned burn will take place in the Melaleuca Wetland Conservation Area, Elizabeth Street (weather permitting) from 9am.

The planned burn is necessary to reduce forest litter fuel and provide conditions essential for native plant species regeneration.
