On Tuesday 14 January and Wednesday 15  January the North Stradbroke Island water treatment plant will  be offline to allow Energex to install critical electrical switching equipment to the plant. This is essential work and will greatly add to security of the power supply and enable rapid recovery in events such as the fire on the island. During this period, Redlands’ mainland and Southern Moreton Bay Islands water supply will be provided via the Eastern Pipeline Interconnector, with water from both Logan and the Capalaba water treatment plant. Some customers may notice a different taste and odour to our usual Redland water that comes mainly from North Stradbroke Island. Please be assured the water is completely safe.
