Workshop to boost events calendar

Gary Humphries, noted for his work on some of Australia’s biggest events, will head an expert line-up at our free Event Management Workshop this month.

The Council-hosted workshop, on Tuesday 27 August at the Redlands Performing Arts Complex, will open the door to running events in our beautiful City.

It is part of our continual streamlining of the City’s event management process, which we believe will deliver a busy and enticing calendar of attractions for Redlanders.

Events are at the heart of our cultural vitality and contribute to making this City a great place to work, live and play.

By reducing red tape, simplifying application processes and improving our customer service focus, Council is making it easier for event organisers to do business in the Redlands.

This means opportunities for people to connect and enjoy our City.

Mr Humphreys, the keynote speaker at the workshop, has managed and delivered some of Australia’s largest events, including the Gold Coast Indy and Brisbane World Masters Games.

A panel of event management experts also will offer their experience and insight.

The workshop, which will include morning tea and lunch, will offer all the necessary tools to prepare a comprehensive event management plan and allow for networking opportunities.

It also will address all necessary safety, health and environmental issues.

It will take people step-by-step through Council’s streamlined event assessment process and introduce them to our one contact point for all requests.

For information, email [email protected] by Wednesday 21 August.
