The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) advises a developing east coast low will bring heavy rainfall to the Brisbane region, including Redland City, over the next 24-36 hours.

The heavy rain may lead to flash flooding – 24 hour totals of up to 100 to 200mm are likely and isolated totals in excess of 200mm are possible.

Emergency Management Queensland advises that people should:

* Avoid driving, walking or riding through flood waters.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500.

For further information, please view the weather warning on the BOM website
